What is Passing Notes?
We are an a cappella group from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. We were formed in 2002 in Barrett Hall as a mainly alternative group, but our repertoire has expanded, now including everything from classic hits like Queen's Somebody to Love to Madison Beer's feisty Hurts Like Hell. We perform at various events on and off campus throughout the semester, and every fall, we go on tour up and down the East Coast.
We might seem very in your face with all the pink but actually many of our members used to explicitly steer away from the color, but have grown to love it based on its association with our group! We are a fun-loving, eclectic bunch of performers. We take our music seriously, but we still have a seriously good time. Joining Passing Notes has led us to find our best friends in college yet. So if you too, enjoy singing and quite literally rolling on the floor laughing, check out our Auditions page for more information and follow us on Instagram!
